Check
Call us for same-day and emergency repairs anywhere across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Your vehicle will need to be in a safe location for your technician to operate.
Inspect
Your Mobile Tyre & Auto Team technician will remove any objects from the wheel and inspect the damage.
Structural damage and low tread depth will mean the tyre needs replacing, not repairing.
We’ll also check for damage to your wheels.
Repair or Replace
Depending on the extent of your tyre’s damage, we’ll repair or replace it.
Repair options include plugs, patches, and combination repairs (mushroom plugs) – all strictly to Australian standards.
Check
Once we’ve repaired your tyre, we’ll test its integrity with soapy water.
We’ll then refit it and rebalance your wheel.
If required, we’ll also reset your pressure monitoring system.

We’ve been repairing tyres since 2006 in line with manufacturer and Australian standards.
Our mobile technicians offer same-day and emergency puncture repairs across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Ipswich.
An average tyre puncture repair on the Gold Coast or Brisbane costs $30–$55. More specialised tyres, such as tyres for agricultural or construction vehicles, and more complex repairs might cost more.
As a general rule of thumb, a tyre repair costs around a third of your tyre’s retail price. For cheaper tyres, you’ll pay around half the retail price; more expensive tyres may drop to a quarter or a fifth.
Yes, it’s generally worth repairing a tyre puncture. Repairing a standard car tyre costs around a third of the tyre’s retail price. If you replaced your tyre, you’d ideally replace all 4 at the same time for performance and safety – which can be expensive.
Let’s say you punctured a Maxxis MA511 205/55R16 tyre that retails for $130.90. A repair costs you $50. Replacing all 4 of your tyres, on the other hand, would cost you $523.60 – making a repair less than 10% of the cost of a replacement.
If your tyres are getting old or worn, though, it can make more sense just to replace them. There’s no point in repairing a tyre that you’re going to discard in a few months.
Yes, provided the nail hasn’t caused a puncture greater than 5 millimetres in diameter and isn’t located in a repair-prohibited area (like the tyre’s shoulder).
Never drive on a tyre with a nail in it. A ‘slow puncture’ (where air slowly escapes over time) can lead to low tyre pressure, compromising your tyre’s structural integrity and making repairs impossible. You’ll also risk your tyre bursting mid-drive – which is extremely dangerous for you and any cars around you.
In Australia, tyre repairs are governed by the Australian Standard AS 1973-1993 Pneumatic tyres – Passenger car, light truck, and truck/bus – Retreading and repair processes. That means we (and all other compliant tyre repair services) can’t make certain kinds of repairs to tyres.
Prohibited repairs include:
Got a punctured tyre that matches one of the above? We’ll replace it instead.
